Word on the street is that chain tension is an issue. I have used adjustable belt tensioners on a couple of projects, so we may want to consider something similar for the chains? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3182477
I designed this chain tensioner for use with FTC Tetrix beams. There usually isn't an easy way to tension chains being used with Tetrix beams, because they use different units (metric versus imperial). This lead-screw method tensioner can be attached to the end of a Tetrix beam and can extend the beam to the desired length to tension your chain,...

Cow catcher had the attachments broke. Still can function without issue but need to back up a bit after it guides it into place.

Like the holes for the bolts broke again?

You didn’t use the new pieces you printed

Just realized the parts you had me print were also spares for the cow catcher. I thought those were for the grabber.

The first two pics show it is on the cone and won't slip off the bottom but I am not sure what you mean by footprint.

It does not get stuck on the cow catcher and it short enough to be under the arm. I was able to lift it manually without a problem. No guarantee but looks good.

@everyone I've been looking at how to do NeoPixels for our robot, and it seems like the easiest method is to use a driver (controlling them directly requires 150ns precision). REV makes a Blinkin, but it's really expensive. Adafruit has a (vaguely) similar driver for $7.50 that can control NeoPixels via I2C. Would anyone else be interested in building and debugging NeoPixels? I'm thinking it might be good to get a subsystem working now, since I don't think it will take too long, and we will be able to test it's effect on the robot battery.

Is there an advantage for his over fusion if we have fusion?
Avatar
It is easier to brainstorm and figure out where components will go because you don’t need sketches. However, it is harder to get precise shapes because it doesn’t use sketches

It has a less steep learning curve and is more intuitive than “real” CAD software. If I’m designing something simple and quick, TinkerCAD is pretty good.

@Isaiah When you are designing the depositor, there is a bracket piece in Robot Parts>Motors. You should design the depositor to have that bolted on so that we can switch the motor more easily. (You can measure the holes to make it fit) (edited)

@True Overclocker I think we should have a dedicated way of managing a print queue. Do y’all think that we should:
  • WebCollab and make prints tasks with info and files attached
  • or should we make a simple piece of software specifically for managing prints (with versions). I might be able to make it webhook into the discord to alert people when there is stuff to be printed.

From what i remember max is improving the old robot not entirly sure what hes changing . the rest of us worked on the new robot we're replacing the pink triangles that hold the linear slide with a scaled down version. this will lower the outake so the carrige doesnt bump into the outer points of the clear plastic. Which was preventing the carrige from being able to transfer pixels. the intake is being lowered sligtly. thats all can remember (edited)

Has anyone been assigned to work on the pullup bar, or have we decided that that is not something we are interested in pursuing?
